Why is it so important?
Following a nice winding path on a summer’s after noon is lovely. However, sometimes the path becomes indistinct and the cloud descends and your nice afternoon walk becomes a lot more worrying. Many mountain accidents often have navigation difficulties as one of the factors. Not being able to find your way to safety or going the wrong way and ending up on steep, rocky ground can often lead to accidents.
