I have 40 years of mountain experience and 30 years of instructional experience. Instructing groups of all ages and abilities in both mountain and water disciplines.

I hold both Summer and Winter Mountain Leaders Awards and am a qualified Rock Climbing Instructor and First Aider.

I have climbed throughout Great Britain and Europe and have been on 2 expeditions to the Andes.

I like cruising on big rock climbs and snowy Alpine ridges. But I’m still up for a battle in a blizzard and a bit of “Type 2 fun”. I am passionate about snowy mountains, in all their guises. Climbing, skiing, camping or whatever. I thrive in the cold.

I also love teaching people the skills that empower them to set out on their own adventures safely and confidently.
